What is
Physical Therapy?

The treatment, management, prevention, and diagnosis of most
musculoskeletal injuries. Physical therapists analyze an
individual’s movement through one on one sessions to address
pain and movement dysfunction utilizing hands on care, patient
education, and exercise. They design treatment plans that are
specific to an individual’s impairments, help manage pain,
restore mobility, and prevent re-occurrence of injury. Together,
you and the physical therapist will set your own goals, helping
you reach your highest fitness potential and getting you back to
doing things you love!

The name of this procedure may appear intimidating, however, dry needling is safe and may yield quick results leading to improved musculoskeletal function in addition to decreasing pain. It is performed only by skilled, trained physical therapists. A thin monofilament needle penetrates the skin and treats underlying muscle tissue, and its goal is to reduce pain and
restore function. Dry needling treats muscle tissue, and its goal is to reduce pain, inactivate trigger points and restore function.
